Oh my, oh my! we had a blast creating this gorgeous cake for one of our special clients!
The Birthday boy sure did have a FUN time smashing into his personal cake and eyeing all of the beautiful vibrant colors on the cakes. Each tier was a different flavor correspnding to the birthday boy's favorite flavors as a 1 year old. The bottom tier was a Banana Cake with Fresh Banana in a French Vanilla Bean Cream. The second tier was a Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Filling and the top tier was a Strawberry Cake with Fresh Berries and Whip Cream... YUMMY!!!!

Summer Wedding cakes


This Summer has been filled with creating gorgeous decadent cakes along with beautiful breathtaking weather! Love is in the air and the cakes have exceeded the newlyweds expectations. We look forward to creating more fabulous cakes and are excited to create Fall and Winter embellished wedding cakes!

Beach Pail Wedding Cake

This wedding just makes me smile, and want to cherish the remaining long days of summer with a delicious, dripping s’more fireside on the beach. Erica and Joe’s vintage camping theme was executed to absolute perfection, this wedding is just oozing with incredible details and charm – and that cake, no words. The re-purposed “ring pillows” might just be our favorite though. Each individual styled vignette with its throw-back camping equipment and custom signs, are so thoughtfully pieced together.
Enjoy sifting through the gorgeousness, this is definitely a steal-worthy one!

Summer Cakes!




We have created some Beautiful and fun cakes this year thus far! These are some of our favorites!
 Fun and interesting flavors have been our Vanilla Cake with a lemon mousse with Fresh Raspberries and white chocolate drizzle, Almonde Cake with a Nutella mousse with a thin layer of ganache, and our Coconut Cake with Banana Cream filling with Carmel mousse. Mmmmmm

Truffle Dipped-Chocolate Mousse Filled-Chocolate Cupcake
 from It’s All About the Cake Bakery

Its “All About The Cake” bakery in Dana Point, CA is a 12 year old family owned establishment. In combination with their eatery, “What a Dish” they have created a restaurant/bakery that utilizes an organic farm-to-table concept using locally grown ingredients when available. The restaurant serves healthy fair such as soups, salads, quiches, and sandwiches. We had the Perfect Pita which was wonderful. Alexandra, one of the owners, was quite helpful in giving us a “tour” of her store.
 
The bakery does a lot of custom cakes with many of them quite ornate and unique. What separates this place from the rest of the custom cakeries is their attention to their ingredients. It isn’t too difficult to make an attractive cake but it is difficult to make one that tastes great and almost impossible to make it taste great and be healthy at the same time. This is what puts “All About Cakes” In a class by themselves. Their desserts look good, taste good, and are made with quality products.
Now for the important part: How was it?! The Truffle Dipped Chocolate Mousse Cupcake is a winner just based on its appearance. It is tall and stately, glistening with a shiny chocolate shell, and decorated with beautiful edible flowers. The chocolate is delicious and when opened, reveals a creamy delectable chocolate mousse, that tops a tender chocolate cake on the bottom. The combination of taking a forkful of the cake, mousse, and chocolate all in one bite is so satisfying that words cannot describe it. This dessert is just that good. On top of that, knowing that you are eating something that isn’t full of unnecessary chemicals,etc., makes each bite even better. Of course there is sugar and plenty of calories here, but this cupcake isn’t meant to be “totally healthy” as some of their other dishes are. This receives 4.5 stars out of 5 for “Is it good”, and 4 hearts for “Is it good for you”. That gives it a total of 8.5 which makes this dessert a “The Dessert Doctor” Hall of Fame member.

Delicious alternating chocolate and vanilla sponge cake with raspberry french pastry cream and thin layer of dark chocolate ganache. The party was decked out with Western party supplies. Love it! Yeehaw!

 The couple infused their wedding with loads of modern details and touches. The ceremony setting and decor was gorgeous, taking place underneath large trees decorated with chandeliers, facing the water and filled with colorful floral arrangements. I also adore the bridesmaids attire, the neutral dresses really allow the bold bouquets to pop. Mychela and Ross both look perfectly stylish and totally in love!
